Wow, so it's been over a year since I updated this. Losing loved ones, whether by death or distance, and even people you don't know, but are deeply inspired by, really makes you take a look at your own life and seriously follow through on those things that you say you're motivated to do. I won't go into much detail. So much has happened, but here's an idea...
1. You may now see RYT after my name - "Registered Yoga Teacher." Yoga has enriched my body, mind, and spirit for quite a while, but truly studying it and making it a lifestyle has brought everything to a new level. The possibilities are endless. What started out as just a great workout for a dancer has grown into a deeper appreciation for life. It is a gift I wish to share with others, and in return I'm blessed to have others share their lives with me. Respect. Balance. Community. Love. We are always learning...
(Special shout out to Brynn Rybacek of True Flow Yoga for her mentorship and a teacher training generous with knowledge, support, substance, enthusiasm, warmth, BREATH, etc. Namaste.)
2. I am now based in both CA and NYC. It's a childhood dream come true! Really looking forward to working with new people and projects, crazy experiences, and simply enjoying the city. I ❤ NY
3. I have finished a certification course in Thai Yoga Bodywork with the very wise, accomplished, and humorous Swede, Jonas Westring of Shantaya Yoga. More goodness to be had! Let me know if you'd like to receive this awesome work. I'm accepting clients on both coasts.
4. My traveling and teaching at various camps and studios is picking up again. In 2010 alone, I've been honored to work with Christy Hernandez (one of my first rhythm tap teachers!) and Dance 4 Joy Ministries, Sonia Miskulin and her Academy of International Dance, Footlight Studio in Finland teaching at the Helsinki Tap Festival and performing at the Alexsanteri Theatre, and the ever so inspiring, street dance based Estonian Summer Dance Camp! Then just around the corner is the LA Tap Festival!
5. To be continued... :)
